CYCLE SWITZERLAND IN A LONG WEEKEND

Pressed for time but desperate to escape the city for some smooth tarmac, fresh alpine air and mountainous views? It is possible to see the best of Swiss cycling and tackle some of the stages featured in the Pro Tours over a long weekend.

Choose how many days to take off work, what type and style of accommodation you want and then leave the rest up to Haut Velo!

By only taking one and a half days off work, you will get three full days of world class Swiss cycling.

The weekend is carefully customised and designed to get you riding some of the best and most scenic routes in Switzerland. We take into account your cycling experience, fitness and the weather forecast. With our expert guides leading you, all you have to do is focus on the riding and the breath-taking views. The three main days will be full days out on the bikes, with enough stops for tasty food, local treats and good coffee.

  • Day 1 – Thursday. Arrive, settle in to your chosen accommodation, set up your bikes, a short spin to acclimatise, eat, drink and rest before the first full day.
  • Day 2 – Friday. Tour de France Summit finish loop – 100km, 2500m climbing
  • Day 3 – Saturday. Col de Sanetch loop – 120km, 2,600m climbing – See here for some inspiration
  • Day 4 – Sunday. Local lumps and bumps – your time of departure will decide upon how many lumps and bumps are completed… from 25km at 400m to 100km and 2000m… you choose!

All of our chefs use fresh, local and seasonal produce to create wholesome, nutritional, energy giving and tasty food, none of which will not be in short supply!  We provide an international menu which includes the best of Swiss cuisine, all prepared whilst you are out exploring.

NON CYCLING ACTIVITIES

If you are a none riding partner or are looking for a rest from the lycra, then there are many other activities in and around Verbier which we are happy to organise for you or guide you on.

We can organise other sports and excursions such as mountain biking, climbing, paragliding, canyoning, hiking, Via Ferrata and rafting.   Verbier boasts an 18-hole golf course and an 18-hole pitch and putt. The sports centre has lots to offer including tennis, squash, an indoor and outdoor pool, Ice-rink, outdoor volleyball courts and wellness centre.

If you are looking for something more sedate we can organise visits to the cinema, brewery tours with beer tasting, vineyard tours, shopping, markets, museums, galleries, farm visits, geocaching, horse riding, photography courses, the world famous local spa’s, massages and therapies.
