Terms and Conditions
The contract is between you (“client”) and Haut Velo. The contract exists when we receive your booking form and we have received your deposit, 200CHF per person. By submitting the contract and paying the deposit, you agree to follow the terms and conditions stated in this contract. Full balance of the payment must be paid 45 days before your arrival date. Failure to pay this amount may lead to cancellation charges and the deposit will be forfeited. If you are booking within 45 days of your arrival, the full amount is to be paid.
Notice of cancellation of your holiday by you or any member of your party, once it has been confirmed, must be in writing to us by the person identified as the party leader named on the booking form. Cancellation charges will be calculated from the date we receive the written notice of cancellation. Haut Velo reserves the right to re-sell your bed if you would cancel your holiday. The charges for cancellation of your holiday is as detailed below:
- More than 45 days: Deposit, 20% of CHF
- Between 45-28 days: 30 % of total holiday cost
- Between 27-14 days: 50 % of total holiday cost
- Between 13-3 days: 90 % of total holiday cost
- Between 2-0 days: 100% of total holiday cost
In the unlikely event that Haut Velo for some reason would cancel your holiday, you will receive a full refund of any money paid to us.
CHANGES TO BOOKINGS
Any changes made to the original details supplied on your booking form will be accommodated if possible. If changes are not possible and you cancel your booking, cancellation charges will apply.
If you have any special requests, please clearly note this on your booking form, or at a later date in writing. We cannot guarantee any requests unless we have it confirmed in writing.
All clients ride entirely at their own risk and must make their own judgements on their abilities.
We strongly advise all clients to ensure they have adequate travel insurance that covers you for accidents or illness on your holiday, and to make sure that it covers you for road biking. All mountain sports have an element of danger. Standard holiday insurance is normally not enough for mountain holidays. Haut Velo clients are responsible to obtain their own insurance. If you want to try other mountain sports and activities for example paragliding or climbing during your stay, you should make sure that you are covered for all mountain sports.
DAMAGE TO THE CHALET AND GENERAL BEHAVIOUR
If you cause any damage to the chalet or its property, the cost of repair or replacement of damaged items, will be paid by you. If you misbehave towards other guests, tourists, the chalet or your guides, Powder and Dust reserves the right to terminate your contract with us and end your holiday and no refund will be made. Haut Velo accepts no responsibility for the actions of you or anyone of your party and shall not be held liable for any claim made against us by you or a third party. The chalet is smoke free, and unfortunately no animals are allowed.
This means that we will not pay you compensation if we have to cancel or change your travel arrangements in any way because of industrial dispute, terrorist activity, divine intervention, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions or any other similar events outside our control.
