All holidays are special but the extra special and unforgettable holidays are made by the people and personalities involved.  Our team of local experts, guides, soigneurs, drivers and chefs aim to give you that unforgettable holiday.

Led by Jonas and Adam, the team will look after you and meet any needs you may have – from breakfast until after your evening meal.

Adam and Jonas first met in the winter of 2005 working behind, on top of and sometimes under the bar at the legendary Pub Mont Fort, Verbier.

Along with the core team at Haut Velo, we also have some fantastic and loyal contacts locally and globally in the cycling world.  Should you wish to understand more about your power outputs, lactate threshold, VO2 max, receive specific coaching from qualified coaches, a recovery sports massage, a babysitter, doctor or a visit to a local bike shop, we can arrange it all for you.

ADAM SEDGWICK

A lifelong love for skiing drew Adam to Verbier but a love for cycling brought him back and keeps him here.

Born and raised in Kendal, the Lake District in the North West of England, Adam stumbled across Verbier when he graduated from University. He was offered a seasonal job to work for one of Verbiers’ leading winter chalet businesses, an initial three-month contract ended five years later.  Working solely in the hospitality industry during his seasons, Adam brings a wealth of experience and knowledge.  After 17 years of working globally for a Leadership Development organisation as an Account Director, Outdoor Instructor and Community Partner Manager the allure of the mountains and a change in lifestyle drew him back.

A mountain bike convert Adam has been a keen road cyclist for over 12 years, a commuter, member of a local cycling club, blog writer and sportive rider.  Adam has completed numerous cycling challenges including the Tour of Flanders, Paris Roubaix and Fred Whitton to name a few.  Adam is married to Kathy and is a surrogate father to little Daisy (a Jack Russell).  A huge rugby, motor racing, outdoor sports, poker and Sambuca fan Adam’s motto in life is ‘Health and Happiness –Santé’!

JONAS SUNDSTEDT

Jonas has been a keen skier and biker for almost forty years. Before he came to Switzerland, amongst other things, he used to work as a ski instructor and bike messenger in Sweden.

Jonas came to Verbier for one last season in the Alps before it was time to grow up, that was fifteen years ago. He has since explored what Verbier has to offer, both on snow and what lies beneath.  It started with mountain biking but road biking has always been close to his heart so the step back from the roots felt like a natural progression. He likes doing so-called endurance races through the Alps on skis, feet or bike…when his old body allows it that is.

For relaxation, he gets massages from his wife, chases his two children around or eats cinnamon buns.
